Go for gold!

Naturally, as soon as I complain about the weather being horrid, it turns around and becomes utterly glorious out there.
Yesterday, even though I was still very sore, I went out into my garden and made the best of it. I spent the first couple of hours on my couch, eating breakfast, waiting for painkillers to kick in, but after that my tablet, snack supplies and I went out, spread a blanket on the grass and basked in glorious sunshine. Douglas spent the whole day sprawled out either next to me, or curled up on my lap because no-one enjoys a nap in the sun quite as much as an 11 year old kitty.
Then, yesterday evening, my boyfriend came round with a takeout curry and a bottle of wine which we enjoyed in the garden before he went home and I went to bed. Should I have drunk wine having taken some heavy-duty painkillers? Probably not but as a wise man once said: fuck it, I did it anyway. (And, randomly, I'm hearing that in David Tennant's Crowley's voice) I have missed him like crazy (the boyfriend, not David Tennant LOL), we don't live together and he works in a supermarket so even now we're allowed to see each other, we're still being very careful. It was absolutely lovely to see him though, just sit and talk and be together ♥
I think my plan for today, once the painkillers have kicked in (although I'm a little more 'stiff and achy' than 'utter agony' which is a relief), is going to be pretty much the same: sunshine, garden, book, youtube, good music.
