I've been thoroughly enjoying watching some of the First Doctor episodes of Doctor Who on Britbox. I've watched all of the first season serials that are available - An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, The Edge Of Destruction, The Keys Of Marinus, The Aztecs & The Sensorites. It's strange how its simultaneously the same show that I'm used to but completely different
One thing that's amusing me though is how ~dramatic the episode titles are! Just in the last serial I've watched, there was The Unwilling Warriors, Hidden Danger, A Race Against Death and A Desperate Venture. But there's also been some excellent ones in others - The Temple of Evil, The Warriors of Death, The Bride of Sacrifice, The Day of Darkness, The Sea of Death, The Screaming Jungle, The Snows of Terror, Sentence of Death to name but a few. Aren't they just fantastic?!
I'm now at a crossroads of what to watch next. Do I move on to the First Doctor season 2, or do I switch it up to watch something else?
Part of me is tempted to restart watching Supernatural.
ghostrunner has posted some recaps of season one episodes that made me want to go back and watch them again. I came to SPN in the summer hiatus between S2 and S3, binged the first two seasons in time for S3 and used to get up super early in the morning to *coughaquirecough* the episodes and watch them so I wouldn't get spoiled. I stopped watching somewhere around S5 or S6 - I got bored of Castiel. But now that the show is finishing, and available on Prime, I kind of want to pick it up and watch it again. I did love those early seasons and there is a special place in my heart for Dean (and Baby!)
Then part of me is always tempted to watch Star Trek. Trekkie for life, what can I say? My gut is always to go for The Next Generation - it was my introduction to the show, I fell in love with it and it's still my favourite show. But the completionist and nerd in me is wondering if there's some kind of list of all the episodes in internal chronology, by star date, because that would be awesome.
On the other hand - TNG has Will Riker. Seriously, my love for Will Riker is immense. He was my first love, my first crush. There was just something about him that drew me in and as the show went on, it grew stronger. He's also pretty damn easy on the eyes. Even now. When he appeared in Picard, my heart went all a flutter.
I clearly need to find myself a Will Riker icon.
And a new layout
And I'm not sure I'm loving my username.
