I seem to collect fandoms. I'm very much a polyfandom & multiship person - once I fall in love with one, I pretty much never lose my love for it and so over the years I've ended up with quite the collection of shiny things that I love. I do, however, obsess over one or two things more than anything else at any given time, depending on what I'm currently consuming/what's going on around me.

Although I am struggling right now with Harry Potter due to JK Rowling's views on the trans community. I'm a straight cis-woman but am an ally to the best of my ability. I am trying to separate my love for the stories, for the characters, for the wizarding world from the person who wrote them. It's possible I need to give the books another read through, just to see. Any excuse, right?

My forever fandoms include Doctor Who & Torchwood, Buffy & Angel (& pretty much anything Joss Whedon, to be completely honest), Star Trek, Harry Potter, Merlin and Pirates Of The Caribbean.

I also adore anything relating to Arthurian Legend - everything from Le Morte D'Arthur, The Once & Future King and The Mists Of Avalon, through to Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court.

I'm wondering how much worse things have to get before King Arthur returns to save his people... my boyfriend joked he's either died from Covid-19 or is trying to figure out how to socially-distanced save us!

I completely geek out over Ancient History, Classical Civilisation and to a slightly lesser extent Philosophy (especially philosophy of religion & ethics) and I'm developing an interest in
I have a BA in Classical Civilisation & Philosophy, and a Philosophy of Religion and Ethics MA. I'm also eyeing an MA in History of Health, Medicine and Society because being furloughed has me very bored!

My newest discovered loves are Good Omens and Lucifer (Neil Gaiman, essentially). and I'm slowly falling into dystopian YA books/movies although I'm far too old for them! I'm currently reading and falling in love with Divergent.

My current obsessions are Star Trek, Good Omens and Lucifer. But I've just discovered that there's a whole heap of Classic Doctor Who on Britbox and I've just finished watching the very first First Doctor serial. I've never seen any of the old stuff before and it's completely different to what I'm used to... I think I'm going to get sucked in. I don't really know how much of it's on there - I know a lot of it is lost to time - but I'm very excited to find out!

I would like to start watching the various superhero movies & shows that are so popular - I have no preference to Marvel or DC - but there just seems to be so much of them that I have no idea where to even start to watch them.
